How Aluna Works

Get your device

Meet with our Aluna Respiratory Therapist to review your recommendation and how to get your device.

Each day, you'll blow into the device and answer a few basic questions about how you're feeling, medication use, exercise activity, and asthma triggers.

Monitor Health at Home

In partnership with your Aluna Respiratory Therapist, we will monitor your readings, helping to prevent symptoms, identify triggers, and understand the effectiveness of your medication.

Ongoing Clinical Support

What is a Spirometer?

A spirometer measures Forced Expiratory Volume Over One Second (FEV1) and Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEF).

Studies have shown that regularly reviewing FEV1 or PEF with a licensed healthcare professional can help individuals with asthma, COPD, and other lung diseases better manage their conditions.

Aluna is eligible for all major insurances, and for many patients there is no out-of-pocket cost to using Aluna. Our Aluna Respiratory Therapist will confirm if there would be any out-of-pocket costs based on your specific insurance plan before you move forward.

How much will Aluna cost?

Using Aluna consistently can help us prevent symptoms, identify triggers, reduce unnecessary hospital visits, and understand the effectiveness of your medication.

Why do I need Aluna?

Aluna supports patients with persistent mild to moderate asthma and other lung diseases. It is not recommended for those who are diagnosed with seasonal or intermittent asthma.
